El libro es lo suficientemente interesante como para ayudarme a no pensar, lo cual está genial. Además, me ha enganchado. El porcentaje es orientativo porque no estoy segura de llevar eso, pero quiero mencionar que después de todo lo que ha pasado Penny con las diferentes personas que le rodean, este círculo de amistad me parece demasiado forzado como para ser verdad. Una bully, su ex mejor amiga, y un Cayetano...

I have finally been able to retake reading this, and I have finally HAD MY KISS!!!! FUCK YES I'M SO HAPPY!!!
On another note though, this book is getting better the more I read, so I appreciate that.

He avanzado bastante en 40 minutos así que estoy contenta (en realidad han sido 62 páginas pero Goodreads no parece estar de acuerdo con mi copia en físico sobre la longitud del libro). Volver a empezar con más tiempo para leer me está ayudando a fijarme en los detalles y hacer que me resulte menos densa la trama.

De la página 173 a la 300 en 2 horas y media con alguna pausilla para comentar y para darnos besos. 10/10, maravillosa experiencia, aunque sigo un poco perdida con el libro... Creo que está tomando una decisión muy inocentona como cierre, y los giros de última hora me están resultando demasiado forzados.
En resumen, no está siendo horrible, pero está siendo peor de lo que esperaba.

He llegado al gran plot twist del libro, y no puedo sentir más que indiferencia. Un redemption arc a medias tintas de un personaje por el que no he desarrollado ningún tipo de empatía (porque no se ha dado la oportunidad), una inminente guerra que no puede importarme menos, y una pérdida evidente de objetivo del personaje principal, que siento que es más espectador que protagonista... No veo arreglo para esto.

Empiezo el Readathon con Nora!!

Acabo de leer la página más gramaticalmente inadecuada del mundo. El uso de extranjero con g (what), la aparición de modismos hispanoamericanos ("armar un rompecabezas") a pesar de que el resto del libro está escrito con modismos castellanos, la incorrecta puntuación de un diálogo (no se sabe quién está hablando de dos personajes), y la aparición de un adjetivo plural sin sustantivo concordante recuperable... Uf.

Voy despacito pero voy. El libro engancha pero su calidad narrativa me parece algo pobre. Aún no le he cogido cariño a los personajes y aunque entiendo los elementos que usa la autora algunos me parecen demasiado evidentes y otros muy forzados...
He encontrado varias faltas de ortografía que me desconectan un poco, pero el ritmo es rápido así que el libro se lee con velocidad.

Lo empecé en su momento pero vuelvo a empezarlo ahora. Creo que lo acabaré pronto, si tengo el tiempo suficiente para leer, porque el libro es ligero. Tampoco me estoy parando demasiado a leerlo con cabeza porque el lenguaje usado deja bastante que desear (resulta confuso o inadecuado con el tono), y porque las decisiones narrativas me parecen, en muchas ocasiones, incoherentes. Veremos si mejora.

Hago un inciso en la lectura para decir que me parece lamentable que Nuria hablando de respeto, comunicación, e intimidad sea interpretado como "una turra", "un debate", "un chaparrón que aguantar", "un desahogo", "un discurso que viene de traumas" por Lucas. No reconoce esos valores como básicos y mínimos, sino como una movida mental de la tía a la que se quiere follar. Y sigue pensando, un poco, que es un ataque...

La verdad es que me está tocando un poco los ovarios que cada vez que Nuria saca el tema de que Lucas es un tío que no tiene ni puta idea de darle placer a las mujeres, y machista, ella le tiene que pedir perdón porque él se ofende. Él se escuda en que es el tono. Pues no, gilipollas, es que una mujer para ti no es una persona merecedora de respeto y la ves como inferior. Y si te pone en tu sitio, te da en el orgullo

I'm getting through this FAST. I absolutely despise the main character and the fact that he talks so much about his fucking dick (along with how much of a narcissist he is), but the female main character is super cool, so that kind of makes up for it.
I love seeing the amount of talk shown about stereotypes and sex, and the sexist conceptions around a lot of this stuff. But I hate that lesbians are fetishized.

When I started reading this I automatically fell very very deep into a rabbit-hole I haven't visited in a while, one of awe, of fantasy, of amazement. For the first 30 pages, I fell in love with the book.
Then the MMC came in and the feeling of drinking hot tea that warms up your throat felt like being spoon-fed vodka too quickly. Nevertheless, I'm hooked, even if Kei and Hana have warmed up too quickly...

I haven't updated much because I've been reading just like a snail would... I haven't had time nor motivation, and I read 5 pages at most by sitting, but I reckon this is a big enough advance I've been making and worthy of registration.
I'm actually 267/513 pages in, but for some reason Goodreads says this book is 416? Anyway, I'm not hating it but it is excruciatingly slow at times.

Alonso me duele mucho. Tiene unos problemas con su autoestima tan grandes... Y toda la mierda que le rodea no ayuda. Ojalá pudiera simplemente ser feliz y ojalá alguien le demostrase que no le están usando y es merecedor de cariño (Penny, estoy hablando contigo).
On another note, Corey me agobia tanto con su actitud de protector hacia Penny, que hace dos días no le importaba una mierda, que me da grima leerle.

I wasn't expecting a magic system right here but we have a magic system, mentions to covens and witchcraft, and descriptions of rituals and magic users! So that means, as you guys know, that I am absolutely loving it.
I love the small-town vibe that the ambiance has, and how full of life this world feels! Although I hate the Barrions. And Alonso and Penny interact as if they were close to each other (they aren't).

I'm going to roughly estimate that's how far along I am... Which is a good amount, considering I started this yesterday. The weird HTML format helps me read way quicker (since I can't take notes either and there's little no page or chapter breaks), but it also prevents me from getting too deep into the story and going slow with it. Not that I mind that, because this is getting INTENSE quickly.
So far, Alonso = fav.

I'm not on Page 6, but I'm reading in a weird web that tracks pages that way... So it'll have to do like that. The dynamics between characters are very very interesting, although I don't appreciate the attitude of the main male characters.

So far it's not bad... We're getting into the nitty and gritty of this book!

I'm at the beginning of chapter 9 (I wanted to get to the same page as Blanca) and I have to say that I'm very excited to keep reading.
I really like how the plot is being set up (including the mysteries unfolding) and I'm really interested in the reason why Ronan seems to be the center of attention in this book.
Also, it seems like I'm going to be hurt once more by Adam and Blue... And also, by Adam on his own.

I'm taking my time with this but I'm very much liking it.

I haven't read much, but OH MY GOD WE ARE SO BACK!
This is fucking crazy. I love this book, I love the characters, I love the setting already. I hope this breaks the second book course (as did Conjuro De Sombras from A Darker Shade Of Magic), because I have very high expectations for this fellow.
I am very in. I can't keep reading today because I need to digest this beautiful start, but I will devour this tomorrow.

This is the fastest I've gone through a book. Now, don't get it wrong, it's not because it is interesting; it actually feels like reading a slice of life (slightly boring, routine-like, redundant at times), despite all of the weird and "amazing" (more like fantastical, I would say) situations the main character is put in.
I'm frustrated. It all feels too movie-esque, and I want to find out what Chrysallis is...

No fucking idea what I'm reading and what's going on but it's interesting, I guess. I'm intrigued by why there's so many glitches and what's causing them.
Other than that, way too many mentions of cheating for my liking.
