Enjoying this very much so far. Funny coincidence, it's the same narrater as Charles by Con Riley which I'm also currently reading.

This is a re-read for me as an audiobook.

Still enjoying the book but it is getting a little tedious. I feel like tighter editing would have been good. Really enjoying Michael Lesley's narration, at this point it's what's keeping me from giving up.

Still not sure how I feel about Olu - yes he's damaged and putting up walls, yes he's posh and comes from a very different background and life than Griff, but I don't know, I just haven't warmed up to him yet.

I like Griff, I just hope Talia Hibbert doesn't make his large, unusual physical appearance and his slow processing the core of his personality - that would be a shame and a disservice to the character.

I read this as an ebook when if first came out as I adore Alexis Hall's work. Listening to it is so much more! I'm really enjoying it.

Hmm, not sure I like Olu - could be a problem for finishing the book if I can't change my opinion of him soon.

So far I'm struggling to stay interested. Glen Lloyd's narration is great as always but I'm just not invested in the characters. Tully is creepily sexually inappropriate from the get go and Jeremiah (Jeremy) has no personality to speak of yet. Also, the whole thing is repetitious so far, we get info dumped about storms or whatever from one character and then from the next characters POV we get it repeated back to us.

I'm seriously questioning why this series is so beloved. Barry is a total asshole to Patricia and to women in general. And there is absolutely no chemistry between Barry and Patricia, all they do is say I love you to each other repeatedly and that's pretty much the extent of their conversations.

Ugh, Berry is such an ass!

Enjoying listening to the book, the narrator is keeping me entertained however, the way larger people are described in this book is rather mean and unkind. There are better ways to describe larger folks, especially when talking about larger women that isn't so insulting and disdainful. The book was written in 2004- there's no excuse.

Slow going because I'm savoring it and also, it's my waiting for an appt. book so I only read it occasionally.
