I am deeply concerned by the popularity of this book… particularly concerned about men because I think men would relate to this book more than women.
The main character deals with intense feelings of shame and feeling like he can’t relate to anyone around him. He’s deeply afraid of being “found out” or seen for who he really is, not who he pretends to be (a clown).
