depression time~~

It's that time of the year again!! Winter is here and what better time then for another dose of depression~
Yeah I'm just really really sad. Hopefully reading this book can help me feel better

Waaah this book is so good so far, especially with how the main character struggles with the "phonyness" of shitty people. This is amazing

omg i can see the resemblance of narration to Solitaire

Honestly I once read the Wikipedia summary of this book and it seemed like hot garbage. But later on 2 things prompted me to give this book a try:
1) Solitaire (one of my favorite books) is branded as a modern-day Catcher in the Rye
2) I also heard that the main character struggles with the "fakeness" of people, and I can relate to that so much
So we'll see how this book goes!

However, the only downside of this book is that the translation is so dry. I wonder if the original novel in Japanese was more eloquent? Cause darn there's so much tell, not show. And considering this is the same author who wrote I Want To Eat Your Pancreas (which was so beautiful), it's honestly a little difficult to read this novel where the language is incredibly stilted.

So far, this book is both good and bad. The good part is that I resonated with all of the issues presented in the book, the facade that we have to put up as we go out there to look for jobs, and the disillusionment we feel as we fake ourselves to glaze those already in the workplace and who have connections. It was definitely interesting to see that these issues are universal across the world. (continued)

Had me stumped on the prime number question, I found a different pattern where 15 = 6 * 2 + 3, 35 = 15 * 2 + 5, 77 = 35 * 2 + 7, etc, so the next number I got was 77 * 2 + 9 = 163 instead of 143

got the paperback version of the book 😍. it's also in chinese which i think is usually a better translation of japanese than translating japanese to english because it's easier to retain the elegance of the original text

I never thought I would read a book that was this amazing (only I Want To Eat Your Pancreas can compare but I've only watched the movie. Solitaire also touches on similar topics but the relationship isn't nearly as fleshed out as this one). It's illustration of what a relationship should be is perfect and basicially everything that I thought of. It's absolutely incredible.
