Its taking me so long to read this but i am enjoying it. Not dying over it but i really like it

Im enjoying it for the timeless humor and I love the social scene in that time period, but this book is moving a little slow for me. I feel like 75% so far has been "setting the scene" and introducing/describing new characters

I bought this book at the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam so its very interesting to read, because I can picture the secret annex and the street they lived on very vividly.

This book is shockingly good. Absolute page turner and the story is so unique

Not far in, but the writing is wonderful. It's perfectly descriptive and paints a very the story in such an engaging way. I feel like im inside the book

I feel like peter is such a flawed character i rlly didnt like him at first but imo hes the most complex character in the book and hes really growning on me. his constant mental turmoil is such a good representation of the human experience (margrethe i dont even wanna hear it abt how long this book is taking me)

Ive literally barely read over the past month #travel and ive been getting back into this book. Very good so far however i still dont like the choppiness from peter's perspective. Really liking the Ivan Margaret story line tho

The only book I've read since the Catcher in the Rye where you literally are inside the character's mind. Its one of those books where you start to think like the character throughout the day
