Received this in a giveaway here on Goodreads and decided I wanted to read and listen to it as well, so I checked the audiobook out on libby!

I am so sorry but I can not finish this book. It is well written, but I just can not connect to the story or the characters and I don't want to waste anyone's time.

I am not done, I was not prepared, and this book is amazing so far. I am not sure I want to read this morning because I am still not prepared for the ending of this....

It's taken me this long to allow me to separate this from any kind of backstory lore and let the story stand on it's own lol. damn brain, let it be it's own thing already.

I already know I am not actually mentally prepared to read this book, I also know that I am not going to read it as a romance with shipping of characters and adorable wishes, but instead will be read as a dark fantasy about war. Let's do this!

To say I cried meeting Sharkie would be an understatement. I sobbed. I love Sharkie so much it hurts.

I was able to get For Whom the Belle Tolls and Alchemised today. All other reading is on hold until I finish these two books!!!!
