The banter between Artham and Gammon is so great.

I’m reallllllly loving Chaol’s development I need to give him hugs.

Also him and Yrene make an excellent pair. They can challenge each other to be better, challenge each other on what they believe. I need this ship. (Nesryn’s just meh)

Only a chapter in and Nick sounds so done XD

Kinda losing faith in this book... It feels like nothing is really happening, and when something did feel intense, it kind of left me wanting.

Alastor, however, is immensely amusing. And I like how he gets quiet when Prosper comes across info that could be useful.

The plot seems a little slow, but I'm okay with that. I'm in love with the richness of the setting and the worldbuilding here. Let me read about those things all day!
