I'm actually so disgustingly obsessed with this book that if this does to me what The Favorites did, I truly may never read a book ever again.

I am once again BEGGING authors to Google the meaning of slow burn before they describe their book as such.

I like that in their discussion of Blue Lagoon they conveniently leave out the fact that they're cousins lol

Honestly, the fact that not one of these bodyguards (except Oscar, my king) has been fired is absolutely insane.

I'm being driven to the brink of insanity because I know the guy who narrates for Akara is the same guy who narrates for Drew in Junkie. I JUST CAN'T PROVE IT.

For whatever reason I assumed it would be a short story about Lysander and Eroan and they were being reunited after being apart for whatever reason. NOPE. It's the reunion of Lysander and Akiem, which makes me oh so giddy!!

How could I forget that Violet is the most irritating and crude person I've ever had the displeasure of reading about?

This sequel is not necessary because All That's Left In The World was perfect, so I swear to God if this book doesn't include Henri and Amy being reunited, I'm giving it one star and suing Erik J. Brown for emotional damage.

I forgot how cringey I find it when book characters like to read. Especially when all their favorite books are classics. Like I couldn't roll my eyes any harder when she says she loves Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. At least they're written by women.

I'm only like halfway done with this, which is just wild to me. Idk I go back and forth from thinking it's boring to entertaining every other chapter. But idk James is here now so maybe it'll get better.

Oh shit we're certainly starting this one off with a bang.
