One of the good things about Pierce Brown is that he shows you duality in all of the MCs. No one is true moral north. They all have to make hard decisions. He paints war so well.

Idk how he does this to me every time, but I’ve already cried thrice and felt the full spectrum of emotions umpteen times and I’ve only finished Part One. Thank you TJ, for creating characters that feel like they all embody different parts of my own personality. Gio, Vic, Rambo, Nurse Ratched, and Hap: you are all a piece of me.

TJ Klune melts my heart with the characters that he paints every damned time. In this book, they all remind me of little pieces of me that individually bother me but make up my psyche as a collective. Even Hap.
