This book was so boring & poorly written that I actually quit reading it when I was about 25% into it. Almost every paragraph had a mixture of past & present tense within the same paragraph. I didn't feel any sense of really getting to know, or connect with, any of the characters. I usually finish a book once I've started, but this simply became a chore rather than a pleasure to read.

Book two in the series. It's a good, quick read, cozy mystery. There were a few more red herrings in this book than there were in the first story of the series. So far, the author wrote a good story, but the solution to the mystery is just a bit obvious. I am hoping that as the series continues, the author develops the ability to keep the solution to the mystery a bit more mysterious!

Sue Snobeck is reading While You Were Mine
I just finished While You Were Mine. I enjoyed reading this book. It's the first book I've read from this author and will be looking at her other books. It was well written, I really felt a connection to the characters. While it is basically a love story, I wouldn't really classify it as that. I felt it was more a story about people, their lives, joys & hardships.

Sue Snobeck is reading Dangerous Waters
I just finished Dangerous Waters. It was a good historical novel. There were some typographical errors which detracted from the intensity on occasion. The book ended satisfactorily, if, perhaps abruptly, maybe leaving room for a sequel?? I'd label the book as historical action/adventure, a little bit of a conflicted love story & a small amount of mystery.

Sue Snobeck is reading Molly's Memoir
I just finished Molly's Memoir. Great true story about the life of a baby girl who had been left on the doorstep of a mountain home in the early 1900's.
