I love this book as much as I love the hit show!! The show (from what I remember) is pretty darn spot on to the book. What a dream! Doesn’t everyone want a Jamie?!

Still feel the same from first book. Theres things about the book I likeeee and I need to know what happens - but I’m not thoroughly enjoying it. The male main character sexy villain is still a liar and manipulative. He is still putting her through the most. I do not think he is a leader worth following but it looks like he’ll be shown as just “loosing his way”. Once again.. idk.

I feel extremely mixed about this one… but of course I have to read the next to see what happens! Ok so… def a different plot and developed characters that are a bit unique compared to similar theme books. Never have I ever despised the sexy villain who the main character falls in love with. He’s terrible, he’s a liar, he’s manipulative, I am 100% not “attracted” to his character. She DESERVES better!

Like every Kristin Hannah book… I loved it!!! I decorated the Christmas tree while listening to the audiobook. Towards the end there were definitely scenes (like always!) that I got choked up with tears. Fiction, but historical fiction, to expose me to new viewpoints in history and creating new found respect for people who went through things such as this.

I did really like this book! It was a sweet little easy read. It reminded me of a little cheesy holiday hallmark movie. We read this for book club and I will agree with them that the time loop wasn’t really explained much and properly given closure - I kept waiting for another jump in time to happen and it never did. Cute story nonetheless!

19% through and 5/5 stars thus far-would anyone expect anything less of Kristin Hannah. Anyway, actively screaming out loud while I listen. Michael, your wife is too good so imma tell you for her… you a lil bitch!!!!! You a little effin bitch!!! She carrying this whole family on her back while you are NEVER home and always working and now she’s the bad one for getting deployed. YOU A BITCH of a “man” Michael!

I have loved this book! It’s historical fiction based on a time when there was still a drastic lack of women’s rights. These women in the book club slowly become aware of it and want more for themselves and family. I LOVE the women empowerment and bonds these ladies built with one another! There were moments where I couldn’t imagine being so restricted-lots of respect to women who didnt have the rights we do.

How times have changed… a character attempted to get sympathy with her mom for her husband cheating on her and her mom - who has been through all the same things responded with:
“It’s a man’s world charlotte. If you could simply learn to accept that as I have perhaps you would finally become content to enjoy the highly privileged position you occupy within it” - as if that is enough in life…

I really enjoyed this book! Three generations of Weyward women each with their own troublesome story and how they persevered through it, to perhaps unknowingly in the moment inspire the next generation. A little bit of “witch-y” vibes without being “spooky”. All the women power and I love it!

I really liked this book!! I love the flash backs into the 1700s and the flash forwards to current time. It’s so interesting to see someone figure out a piece of history that was once someone else’s “now”. It made me love even more the ability to collect old items, knowing they have a story and a purpose in a previous life - something perhaps totally different than its new “now”.

I came so close to this book being a “DNF”. I read my 1st Carly F. book before this one and loveddd! This one was on audiobook speech 3x speed just to finish it ASAP + I skipped a chapter. In my opinion, he gives the bare minimum and she just fell in love with him after 24hrs. He is hiding behind, “all I know how to do is care for my family. I don’t know how to put myself first.” boy grow the hell up.

This was a nice little 4hr audiobook. I’m excited to see how it ends. Age gap smut is exactly what I needed in my life. This one is interesting - she ends up with her ex-fiancés dad. Swear I do not fantasize about my future father in law y’all.. yuck! I spend my time fantasizing about other people’s dads ;)

Started this book and it’s another easy D.B.F. read. I took a LONG break from reading. Excited to pick this one back up and finish!

Another hallmark vibe D.B.F. book. This was such an easy read. I wouldn’t say I necessarily learned anything or took away any interesting perspectives but nevertheless this was an enjoyable read!

A re-read a year later, loving it as much as I loved it the 1st time!

Ok this was a piece of my childhood complete! I have always loved the pixie hollow movies and books as a kid and this story completed what was a little teaser of a haunting story as a kid. It’s so so sad that they couldn’t find a way to be together but I understand they have a responsibility of being a leader that they have fully embraced. Beautifully written!

Ughhh. I promise I will finish this audiobook. It’s just haunting me sitting on the “shelf” unread. I made this “rule” in my head that once I started the GOT series I would read nothing else until I finished it! I just wanted to give this work of art the appreciation it deserves. But then…I found myself needing a break from the heavy political-ness of the plot and cheated. And then have yet to come back..

Ughhhh I LOVE THIS SERIES! One of my absolute top fav series! I once again am so impatiently waiting for the next book to come out!

Loving it. The plot thickens! I just need a little break… I was COMMITTED to reading this series and only this series until I was done. Well 3 months later (cause those audiobooks are 50 damn hours long) I cheated, and realized how much I needed to cheat to appreciate this book as it should. It shouldn’t be rushed, it needs to be cherished.

Alright… will this book live up to the hype?? I mean the title alone had me like “mmmmmmm what is this one about??” Supposed smut promised. I’ve had this one on hold with the Libby app and after a long 9 weeks it’s finally my turn! Let’s see if this one is really THAT good or just overhyped! Fingers crossed for a great plot!

Rereading this series reminds me how much I loved it the first round of reading it. Ughhhhh I love these books SO much. I’m really enjoying escaping from real life and imagining living in this fantasy world with dragons and a shadow daddy.
