Here’s an idea- maybe your beachside cafe wouldn’t be failing if you offered something other than tea and scones. Because when I’m on the beach, the last thing that sounds appealing is hot leaf water and some Frankenstein scone with four different types of packaged cookies crammed in it. Shut up about the freakin scones.

All of these characters are awful people and they just keep doing awful things and it’s getting a little ridiculous

Ok that was dramatic. It’s not that bad.

I fear this may be the worst book of my 2024 journey. I cannot find a single character I want to root for, and I cannot find a single character I don’t hate with a passion. Not a fan. Giving it until 50% before I pull the plug.
