Meh - and I a true King fan so, so far I’m disappointed. It’s almost like he’s a not very good crime writer. Hope it gets better…..

The good in evil, the evil in good, insanity and love, travelling through realities, fighting evil. Typical Stephen King. Great character development. Lisey travels back and forth in time and dimension. In that way, this rather reminds me of The Talisman.

I’m enjoying it more as I delve deeper into it.

These are excellent short stories. I pick it up and read one at a time. They’re each different and I’m always impressed by the feelings Gaston invokes in such brief tales, and the richness of the imagery.

Half way through the book the suspense finally builds to reveal 4 mysteries and a protagonist dealing with her anxiety, isolation and fear with alcohol. It’s been like an itch growing slowly into a rash.

Well I’m finding I d t think too highly of our protagonist. Shes pretty self- centered, not helpful in the community or in a medical crisis in spite of her training, drinks a ton, has poked through her landlady’s house while the lady is away. Now she’s entertaining a guy in her living room without consent.

The story is a bit spooky, proceeding slowly.
