The book is starting off strong. A lot of last book information. There hasn’t been a dull moment yet, and I am grateful for that. Two serpents attempted to “kill”her for her to grow stronger and form a deeper connection as the sentinel.

Jake lets Sawyer take control of his body so he can get rehab and have a second chance to only kill Uncle Rod and burn his down with him in it. Now Jake’s fights to get his body and mind back.

Jake finally breaks. Stabs the bully for calling him a slave. Yet, all the blame falls on him because he did a worse evil than the bully (in that moment). His main hurt is how no one cares. No one is there to help or defend when he feels hurt. They don’t stay neutral they laugh making it worse, agreeing with the wrong at a small degree.

He stole Sawyer dairy. Allister confessed his love for Jake. Jake never responds. The more Jake knows about Sawyer the more Sawyer can use Jake but the more Jake can prepare for Sawyer illusions.

So we find Sawyer motive. He wants Jakes’s body. Nice plot line so far i can’t wait to see where he goes from here.

The book is picking up. Sawyer is following Jake around school and we know how the neighbor was killed
