For as fiercely debated (online phenomenon, probably less so in actual academic spaces lmao) as it is, most of the first half of this book has been a history report on race making and industrial capitalism, and some fairly inoffensive statements on Marx not fleshing out or exploring certain subjects, or even defending some of his writings from errant assumptions, we ball regardless

kind of just making this update to reference later later but in late ch. 7 she says “patriarchal masculinity teaches males to be pathologically narcissistic” just to open up discussion on what feminist masculinity can be but actually let’s wake that up a bit more lowkey
