Oh dear I have two more books already borrowed from the library I need to read this faster

Is this book long? I think it might be long

This book was published 21 years ago which feels both ancient and very recent. Is that practical magic?

Enjoying this although there’s something about the writing that feels less polished than I would expect
Maybe this is one of her earlier books? I am invested in the MC

Oooo have I mentioned this is a role swapped P&P (ish?)
Wickham is also female in this and I am liking how her story is building up (aka I hate her)

The FMC describing ‘fathomless eyes’ as ‘a ring of crystalline brown rimmed around intense dark centers flecked with soft green and gold’
Woaaaaaaah where did that come from all of a sudden

I do love competent MCs
Wish Trisha had an ounce more emotional tact, but alas, the plot wouldn’t progress if that were true

But overall this feels like it was written to be a movie pitch, which doesn’t make sense bc Henry has other books being produced already.

The way she writes her characters usually makes me feel like I can see into their SOULS, but this has been flat.

Ugh PSA but three weeks is not enough time to fall in love with a stranger! Even if he HAS met your mom and you’re COMPETING FOR THE SAME JOB that ain’t love that’s lust

Dang something about the characters and the plot are just not landing with me. There are nice moments, sure, but I’m not getting sucked in like I have with Henry’s other books

Everyone is in love with each other and trying desperately to hide it (not actually what’s happening but sure seems like it)

Ugh for the amount of words going on there’s such a lack of communication between characters which is very frustrating. Also, is everyone bi in this book

Blake is so verbose I am thorough enjoying the plot but also this require so much focus to make sure I don’t miss any details
