Figured I’d try this out, but I’m just in the introduction and am already thinking, “ummmm?”

It seems like the author is already conflating systemic conflict or abuse with interpersonal? To me, these require different methods. I’m gonna keep listening to give it a fair chance.

I’m going to keep going only because I remember the 4th book FINALLY reveals this dumb prophecy. I can’t believe we’re 3 books in and we still haven’t heard it.

So Flamel is born in the 1300s and stole the Codex during this time. Dee tells Josh that Flamel stole the codex from the Louvre… which doesn’t make any sense because it wasn’t founded until 1793?? Either I missed something, or Dee is banking on Josh being a dummy.

Also Josh’s shock of “oh my god he STOLE it??” Oh please.
