Casey lives in a wood shack needing a new roof, off the grid. Rudy is her creep landlord and needs to fix her roof after the storm.

Casey is putting candles out for when she loses power, and she sees a face staring in through her bedroom window. She thinks she is making it up then sees someone go into her shed, and hears a knock on the door.

Ella Before:
In trouble at school again for stealing lunch.

I am really enjoying this book so far. The story is not what I expected when reading the description of the book, but in the best way possible. Way more interesting, with a lot of character development that keeps me wanting to learn more about the story of Josie. I feel for Josie, but I am also terribly afraid of what kind of monster she might be.
