How do we go from a war, bloodshed, and being in her mate’s father’s grave to using her glamour to sleep with her mate- while still in the grave? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Love hearing things from Desmond’s pov. I love hearing how the night king came to be and getting a break away from Calypso.

What a heart wrenching end to a chapter filled with grief, love, and hope. Beautifully written where it makes your heart ache, yet see the beauty in healing.

So far I’m enjoying the book, but there are so many notations throughout the book from other readers that it’s becoming disruptive.
The current setting is day 3 of the trial which is great, but the descriptions are redundant and it’s like the author copy and pasted the same sentences over the last 3 days. The constant repeating of how the suits look, pens scribbles sounding like roaches, enough already!

So far I’m loving it! Finally picked up one of my normal reads and it’s reminding me how fast I read when I’m actually into something. After months of reading ACOTAR, it’s nice being back in my usual suspenseful, thriller genre read.

Despite the amount of fear Rose has, I hate that she still finds a man trying to kill her as a game. She leaves the door open intentionally for him, taunts him telling him to “come get” her and laughs at the whole thing. The man is literally trying to murder her and she states she’s terrified, but it’s still funny?? This whole scene is irritating😭

Definitely a slow burn but I like that Fionn isn’t as much of a “hunter-killer” as his two other brothers. I love the way Weaver introduced Rose and Fionn in the first two books and gives insight as to how Rose ended up with Fionn (when Rowan and Sloane first show up at his house) in the first place.
