I really appreciate how so many characters are multicultural/bicultural. I feel very seen by the representation in this book. I also loveeeeee the spice and conflicts the two main characters navigate through. How to keep calm in a big Latin family. How to protect your loved ones from harm while also recognizing that you can't always navigate life through a lens dictated by fear. Such a nice and easy read so far.

I loveeeeeee how much i relate to Jasmine and her struggles with being Latina but striggling with Spanish. I feel seen! Also, the character development is awesome. Love the build up with the spicy scenes
