Worth a re-read!

Developing a one point message:

1. Dig until you find it
2. Build everything around it
3. Make it stick

Finally in the informational part of the book.

Our goal as communicators of the Bible is to inspire life change in our audience!

Compelling story to begin the book. Hate that there was no ending of Ray back at his church!

Looking forward to getting into the bread and butter now.

I’m starting to feel played, haha! People connect with a story… not an outline. Here I am learning the concepts of this book through a STORY!

Interesting so far. Begins with a long story to start the book. It’s fun, but a little tough to pull through when you’re not into (presumably) fictional stories!

Volunteers! Volunteers! Volunteers!

Very great material on leaders and volunteers. As a minister, I have to remember to cast a strong vision on my volunteers and remind them of the WHY for everything they do.

“It’s alright, Abraham. I only wanted to remove him [your son] from the temple of your heart that I might reign unchallenged there.” - God

Fantastic. Slow start with Intro and Preface. Chapter 1 is incredible.

“We have been snared in the coils of a spurious logic which insists that if we have found Him, we need no more seek Him.” (Pg. 25)

Very interesting. I want to read more books about reaching Young Adults.

Great, possibly radical, ideas in this book. How many “sacred cows” does my church have?

Comments about feedback are SUPER helpful. Definitely worth a re-read of chapter 3.

Very informative. Lots of information on teaching the Next Generation.
