Initial thoughts from reading for two days: this a book written by Natives for Natives. There are elements, nods, undertones that I will never be able to fully grasp as a white woman, but that doesn’t necessarily take anything away from the stories—it would only add better understanding for those who know. The stories I’ve read so far have been more unsettling than scary.
