I started this series a decade ago and “took a break” after either book three or book four because it broke my heart so badly and I was emotionally wiped. I never returned but always wanted to - I have since forgotten most of the plot although I remember book two very well, as well as certain characters. Now returning to it as a buddy read with Claire!!
