The author does a great job at explaining, in simple terms, the philosophical stance of various influential philosophers from the past. Furthermore the author always takes into account and explains the background and growing up story of each philosopher, giving the readers a greater understanding of how their reasoning and views came to life, formed and transformed throughout their life.
