In some ways I dislike this book more, but in other ways I appreciate some factors. (But mostly in "if only she'd have kept going in this direction" ways.) Coming soon: Bloodsucking Feminists Episode 05: Title Unconfirmed But Probably Some Reference To Sparkle Motion. (Which means recording at 6.45am on my Saturday. :/)

Rereading this for Bloodsucking Feminists. :/ Honestly though it's not as bad as I expected. It's readable, some characters are interesting. Bella does get the solution to the mystery delivered by local Plot Mailman Jacob Black and it still takes a while to get going.

Listening to the audiobook this time around, as I like the narrator (she does Meg Cabot's Mediator books). Even 35% in it's readily apparent how I've grown as a reader and a person since I last read any Sookie book, let alone this one.

Seeing all these YA Greek mythology books out there, I sometimes wonder: why haven't I written one? I mean, I have a degree in Classics and I focussed on mythology...
