Chapter 2: OK, She's selling her home and moving away because she doesn't want to deal with a competitor? Will she do the same in a new location? Doesn't make logical sense.

Listening to this audiobook. I'm loving it so far. Read reviews complaining about universes colliding between this book and Reich's other series. Since I haven't read any of the other series I'm not bothered by it at all.

The movie is almost exactly like the book. Since I've seen the movie several times I'm not surprised by anything in the book

Listening to the audiobook. On chapter 8. Already tired of the "why would he like me I'm nothing special" attitude of the heroine. Ick! I can't stand listening to women with no self confidence IRL. Why would anyone enjoy hearing this POV in a book?

Listening to this audiobook is like being surrounded by 100 of the preppiest, most annoying teenagers imaginable. The narrator's voice ... I can't even ... It. Is. Awful.

WTF is causing the FAYZ and who/what is he speaking darkness in the mine???!!

Whoa! This is better than I hoped it would be. Especially liking the secretive paranormal powers.

She hasn't decided to accept his "contract" yet buy obviously she does or there wouldn't be any more to the book. I'm rolling my eyes less and less but that doesn't mean the writing is any better. If, for whatever reason, if I didn't get to finish this one, I wouldn't consider it a big loss.

Bowing to peer pressure. I don't really want to read this book, have been avoiding it like the plague, and to be honest, I hope the first few pages aren't any indication of how annoying the writing will be throughout. I think I've rolled my eyes after each paragraph.

ok, if ethan hates the fey, wants nothing to do with them, please explain why he's going go help todd (and I assume eventually go to nevernever). so far, not being convinced that ethan isn't really curious about the fey.

I'm re-reading the first two books in the Clockwork series again before the new one is released.

Not feeling this so far. Ash is just not that interesting of a character to hear an entire story from his POV. I think I would've rather have heard this from Puck's side of things.

Why doesn't she just tell Ash about her dreams with Machina urging her to accept his power? I don't see what the big deal is ...

I just started this last night and I'm devouring it. Can't wait to see how this unfolds.

Am I stupid? Who is Max? Too many characters to remember.

Thinking this morning: most likely, Tris will be discovered as a Divergent either right before or right after initiation into Dauntless; Four will help her escape her thus the two will become Factionless; Tris will learn that her brother is also Divergent.
