Truly the highlight of Christmas break, Tolkien’s prose and storytelling is… familiar. It tells me that everyone else just copies his style!

Ahh, what a refresher from Comi agua para Chocolate! I need to get myself more kids’ books in Spanish because that’s where it’s at!

Guess what I asked for Christmasssss 😏😏

So, don’t sign yourself up for IB HL Spanish B. I vehemently want to understand this book, but, oh my heavens, it is challenging. I have to break down this book sentence by sentence to extract any meaning from it whatsoever. This, I feel, fosters a negative relationship between the reader and the book, and also fails to advance my Spanish journey as effectively. Anywho, if I go missing, it’s because of this book.

Entirely in Spanish…. Wish me luck 😥🙏
