Wow, published in 2001 and the book has a politician using a line about “making America great again” who is eerily like a current president.

This book is so good!

I read this a few years ago, but I’m always comforted by Bonhoeffer’s writings from prison. If he
Could maintain hope as Hitler’s prisoner, I can survive our current political environment.

A little too dumbed down, but I do like the focus on women.

I never took a religion class, and I am loving this book’s focus on both historical and archeological details as well as literary.

Listening to the audiobooks on this reread. So good.
