I loved the first book and I don’t know why this one is taking me so long

I’m about halfway through and something seems stupid familiar about this book

The only other book that has ever made me say “bitch what the actual fuck is wrong with you” so many times was beautiful ugly and that was a book trying to romanticize child grooming. This book is about a mother going through finding out her son is a child molester and the consequences of his actions. I’ve almost stopped this book twice cause of the delusional lead character.
