Plus FBI threatening the life and addresses to Reacher's girlfriend just to get him to help them.. sounds weak on their end considering they are literally the FBI

No just no. Main character is a complete narcissist. Thinks he is going to be the hero of science. I like Hanya's writing but this one was too boring.

Stephen is such a class a douche. Only caring about the next laid he can get his hands on. He doesn't even care that he is seeing two girls at the same time. Poor Lucy, she is experiencing her "first" with him and is falling head over heels for him. Oh to have experienced this before is so hard to read it in a book.

Ok Jake's parents are really weird to the point where if I was in the main character's shoes I would have left the house immediately and not looked back.

I am really enjoying this book. Who is the caller that keeps calling her and using her own phone number? I like her thoughts about being alone and also her thoughts on staying in a long-term committed relationship.

I love Misaki's back story. So compelling to read about her only success to her husband's eyes were birthing 4 sons to protect their homeland. Not her success of being the best machete fighter in her class.

Right from the beginning, it's giving me Naruto vibes immediately. The main character, Mamoru, could be the twin of Naruto. I am excited to read this!

The ability to see the point of view of a psychopath who murdered a family is a haunting specialty for a FBI agent. Not for the weak.
