Ropa is reminded of the rules of entering the library, and is threatened with being hung by the neck. Another man appears and is made aware of Ropa's abilities, allowing her to get away from the penalty she would've had to face. (89-101)

Ropa was taken to a 'library' sort of estate by her friend Jomo. As soon as they entered where they needed to go, they were caught by Jomo's father. He separates the two, leading Ropa to an area to teach her the rules. (84-89)

Our main character, Ropa, is a 14 year old female blunt and chasing money. She often has no sympathy, saying there's no point, if you're nice, people will take advantage of that.
She is currently after money, trying to pay off a man to keep their house.
People either take her money, she has to spend it on her gran and sister, or she has no way of earning it for a bit.

The main character has to deal with an old man taking the money she earns, in order for her, her sister, and her grandmother to continue living at the place they're at. She wasn't able to give him the full amount, so she has to work and get more to pay the man.

The main character encounters a new ghost, and has to get rid of it by either sending it to a place where it can't come back at all, or it can leave on it's own.

In the first 3 chapters, the main character (name unknown) got rid of a ghost for the McGregors, and got stopped by the police, and they took her cash.

Lozen witnesses Lady Time's assistant's punishment, before returning to her cell and getting to see her mother, little sister, and little brother.

Lozen makes it back to Haven safely, having suffered at least 3 broken ribs, which she claims doesn't hurt her since she visited a spring that 'healed' her. When she gets back to Haven, she is brought to Lady Time, and she is asked how her journey eliminating the flying creatures went.

Lozen fights off multiple creatures, leaving her body bruised and possibly broken in multiple places. She has to find somewhere to hide for the night, as Haven doesn't open its doors during those hours, and the chances of her finding her way back are very low.

As previously stated, Lozen's main conflict right now is between her and Haven, the facility keeping her loved ones hostage. In this chapter, Lozen ends up trapped in a little cave-like area, a boulder preventing her from getting out.

Lozen faces conflict multiple times throughout the story so far, one of the more prominent issues are between her and the facility, Haven. Lozen's family (her mother and her little brother) are held hostage as Lozen is instructed to go on missions, though her only reason she continues to do it is because she doesn't want anything to happen to her loved ones, she often discusses how she plans to get them out.

The protagonist in Killer of Enemies is Lozen, a woman desperate to get herself and her loved ones out of haven.

Lozen is outgoing, as well as confident, she knows what her goal is and she's determined to reach it.

Throughout the first four chapters, Lozen is read fighting off multiple 'enemies' , she often makes snarky remarks and mocks those at Haven, especially a new character, Edwin.
