I found it surprising how in my book the main character made up an imaginary person and talks to it. The imagery girl is always helping her through tough times. In the book the author states, "I look over my left shoulder, expecting to see her there, but the space is empty" (Stone 331). I don't know how someone could make up an imaginary person and communicate with them.
