Pausing - not in the right mood/mind frame to appreciate the book

Had to put this one down.. the FMC is as sharp as a spoon and I just can’t handle her today.

I wanna like it. But I’m struggling big time - where the fuck is the plot? Why has it been the same thing said for 37% of the book? Why does the FMC have to have an attitude problem and the brain capacity of a 10 year old to be “badass”. I’m not dnf-ing yet, but I’m definitely putting the book down before I do just that.

Does this get better? Because I don’t think I’m getting it.

Putting this guy down for now. Something isn’t grabbing me, which doesn’t mean it’s a bad book. I just don’t think it’s my vibe at this time.

Emotional. Fucking. Trauma. I’ve had to go outside multiple times to remind myself I’m alive reading this book. She’s dark. She’s spicy. She is full on in mental health representation.
