I'm really digging this book so far, and I love how nice the MC is to her little cousins, even though she's otherwise super cranky about her life. It reminds me to be a nicer person when I'm cranky. ;)

So, I am currently frustrated by Emma's complete disregard of the Hospice nurse and the author's general portrayal of a know-it-all Hospice nurse who inserts her opinions all over the place.

I was SO EXCITED to find this book at the library because it takes place in my beautiful city of Philadelphia at a major turning point in its history - the Yellow Fever epidemic of 1793. A mosquito buzzes in the room in the first paragraph and my heart breaks for the city and the narrator, Mattie, for the trial they are about to endure.

Rereading...because I saw the movie and it was terrible and I really remembered the book being better. And yes, Sage, I seem to be on a kick now.

Love this book so far! Just hit FPP, but have to put it down and do something productive today. Boooo

This book is so blaaaaah... it keeps staring me in the face at GR and I'm like, "I should finish you."

Not very far yet, but so far, I hate the protagonist (who sure spends a lot of time recounting history for someone who supposedly "doesn't care") and hate the writing. Why does everything think this is such a great book?

Strong MC so far... but not seeing the science yet.
