Reading this for a local book club and so far so ughhh. The author is trying to make it sound like a hunger games choosing, but it’s also made clear that they’ve seen all the girls after, they’re fine, well spoken, well dressed, with a bag of money, they just move to the city to start businesses and go to university. And this issss bad? “Worst day of her life” cuzzz why???

Me: OK, hear me out -- Polycule. Niko, Vasili, and this man who is clearly some sort of rescued golden retriever. Eh, eh?

I absolutely love Ariana Nash's books but I tend take long breaks from them because
1) OMGILOVETHISBOOKSOMUCHOHGODITSMADEITSWAYINTOMYDREAMSTHISISTOOMUCHINEEDABREAK
2) Mean book hurt me. It's going in time out.
3) Oh god everything is FINE at 60% :fear: If I put it down I can pretend nothing bad happens to them??

This was #3. Niko and Julian are just so damn sweet and wholesome?? WHAT DO YOU DO TO THEM??

Update: OH.

Oh no. Oh dear. Niko and Julian are adorable together. But it’s way too early in the book to have nice things, let alone the series. Plus I know that they’re not The Ship.
