I wasn’t sure about the premise at first. I have come to enjoy this so far. I would equate it to the Babe Ruth of novels so far. Also, chapter 9 is great.

Very good. It’s amazing some of the things Wink and some of the other jockeys of the day did. I like the history of the American races being put to account as a reason many raced overseas.

Interesting this far. Curious to see if the new killer is a copycat, or the original.

I’m disappointed that I don’t have a solid suspect or solid elimination from the list. I think Eddie is probably bottom of my list as he seems too obvious. I like Andy or Iona as leads right now, but not solidly.

JFK chapter was very interesting, and Hoover using Scarpa during the Johnson administration was extremely eye opening as well.

Of course Victoria is dead. I should have seen that one coming. Looks to be another fun mystery.

I did not expect who was in the freezer. I figured Beth and “Devon” were connected somehow to Cara, just interesting how. Can’t wait for the end to see how this all wraps up.

Very interesting. I found the things about the mob keeping an eye on the docks during WWII particularly intriguing.

The characters are well thought up. I’m wondering if it’s Cara that was found at the beginning of the book…

Alanna has some ‘splaining to do. I still don’t have a super solid suspect, but very interesting goings on in Galway.

Interesting start. We know Johnny isn’t the dead one at his cottage, but who is. Also, where is Johnny? Is he maybe the killer?

Still very good. Mostly Eichmann, which I guess is more well known of a tale. Definitely some details on here I’ve forgotten.

Great so far. Dad likes the Killing books, and this one is not a disappointing start for me. The SS is a case of so many people committing so many atrocities. While I know some of these stories, very interesting to learn more. Eichmann being smart enough to not get photographed often or get the SS tattoo under the armpit is very interesting to me.
