Okay the characters are growing on me, I’ll admit. Gibsie is pretty hilarious. Joey is carrying. Johnny really is down bad even though it gives zero context as to why. He just loves her because. I’m still high key annoyed with them obsessively talking about how small she is and saying Shannon like the river. We get it already.

This is my 3rd attempt to finish this book. I love those who got so much joy from this. Respectfully though, no joy here. If I have to hear how tiny, fragile, small and infantile Shannon like the river is 🙄 Then Johnny talks about his peen nonstop 🙄 And how did we just skirt past a grown adult staff member sexually assaulting a student 😣🙅🏼‍♀️

No, but why is this actually so therapeutic? I am eating this up word after word. 🙇‍♀️

This one isn’t really grabbing me the way her other books have.

This book is entirely too long for what it is so far.

Here’s the deal. If a man can’t put me above my brother, pass. And if my brother tries to make a man that loves me choose between being his friend or my love, pass.

I have continued. But Ryker is thee absolute worst brother ever. He acts under the guise of “protecting” his sister but it’s misogynistic, controlling and honestly creepy. He treats his best friend like a POS and he tries to ruin any love or companionship for his sister. Why would anyone be his friend?!?

Ugh 😩 I was hoping the novellas were after thoughts and that this was going to be really good, but I may have been wrong. Considering DNFing

I feel like I’m an outlier on this one. I feel bored.
