RJ I know you are nice person, try as you might to convince Lear that your very mean we both know you have a soft spot for him. Also applying aloe vera to his sunburn is definitely nice behavior.

I officially have second hand embarrassment for RJ, good luck convincing Lear that you don’t like him now. After he heard RJ’s conversation at the coffee shop I know his ego doubled in size. I fear he may try and start seducing RJ lol 😂.

The banter between RJ and Lear is hilarious 😂. The fact that RJ likes arguing is a little toxic but I can’t blame her. I think both of them have really interesting personalities and I think they will compliment each other well.

I don’t know how to feel right now, I feel very conflicted. Whatever happens next I hope that Ina at least has the satisfaction of seeing these bastards lives ruined.

So shit is getting real and so far homegirl is almost finished with her revenge. I have no idea how this story will end but I am very curious about what is going to happen. The last couple chapters were a lot and I find myself struggling to put this book down.

I can’t prove it but I have a feeling Rui is responsible for what happened to Dalton and I am not mad about it. I don’t know if Rui and Ina are endgame but I hope they are. Also the rivalry between Bertie and Davies is hilarious. Who knew Davies had a petty streak? This book keeps getting better and better.

Is homegirl a little toxic? Yes, but I am here for it. I have no idea what is going to happen next but I am on the edge of my seat. I really hope though that she is able to deal with Dalton, because his evil ass has to die.

So this is bad, I can’t believe Ina is being forced to marry someone against her will. I hope she has a plan b and is still able to enact her revenge. The queen cannot get away with her despicable actions.

You know what I am rooting for Ina, I hope she succeeds and gets her revenge against these evil people by any means necessary. These bastards deserve what is coming to them.

I find it funny how Harrison is not wary of the fact that Nyla’s mom wants her to get married and have kids expeditiously. He sees no problem with that at all. Also I find so refreshing how well the characters communicate with each other. I am really enjoying this book.

I’m happy for both Nyla and Harrison, I think they deserve each other and help each other get past their shared traumas and insecurities. I am also really proud of Harrison for confronting his past and taking steps towards forgiveness.

I understand why Nyla feels hesitant to be in a relationship with Harrison, but I hope she doesn’t let her insecurities keep her from a good thing.

I feel bad for Harrison, I can tell he wants to move forward in his life but it’s hard to trust ppl when you have been horribly betrayed. I think Nyla would be really good for him and help him move forward.

I just want to say I really wanted like this book but after that last chapter this book isn’t getting a rating higher than a 2.5. Because wtf was that, the emotional rollercoaster I just went through was not worth it and now I’m questioning why I didn’t dnf it earlier. The only reason why I am finishing it is because I have a small amount of hope that the ending will be at least tolerable.

At this point, I am little frustrated. How are we this far into the book without a confirmed suspect? There are 5 chapters left in this book and I am so confused about how it is going to end and who actually killed Freddie.

I’m starting to feel very conflicted, it feels like Emersyn’s priorities are not aligned and we aren’t making a lot of progress on finding the killer. There are moments where I sympathize for Emersyn and then there are others where I find her to be insufferable. So far the mystery and romance components of this book are falling short for me.

I swear this better not be a fucking love triangle or I will dnf this book rn. Emersyn make up your mind please, also I feel like the plot is drifting further and away from the story and things are making less sense.
