I swear to go though, if anyone else gets there back slammed into another wall, tree, or person in this book, I’m gonna throw a fit.

It’s been nice, pleasant, an acceptable read.

Standard psychologically tortured MMC and quirky, misunderstood FMC plot - like I don’t hate it but I think I need it need a lil kick up the arse sometimes soon to catch my interest again.

So it turns out I was confused with the last books cause I accidentally started on like book 41 of the #Rinaverse or something?

Anyways, back at book 1 and barring the questionable use of English slang, it’s actually not going dreadful (so far)

Kinda hooked on the toxic behaviour of all parties involved in this book.

This book is the purest definition of the term hate fuck.

This girl is truly going full send for a man who may or may not fricking despise her - like come on girl, sort yourself out 👀

I’ve taken some time to compose myself, and I’m back with a crisp Pepsi Max to try and make sense of this situation 🧐

Finished this book today in my car before placement this morning and I honestly had the best time kicking my legs and squealing. Ms Douglas always knows how to give me a curveball but make it exactly what I want ☺️

This is why I have trust issues… everything is looking rosey and we’re only at 74%. Of course I can’t get everything I want 🙄

So one minute it’s giving *tension* 😮‍💨 and then it’s giving, I’m sorry all you can eat is eggs on toast cause you’re povo 💀 - like, talk about whiplash.

Enjoying this much more the second time - Banks seems slightly less insufferable and Kai is just giving a 10/10 performance as always 😌

Surprise surpriseeee ✨ I’m starting it again because I fell out of love with this book (heartbreaking i know 🥲) and, following discussion with Nikki on Friday, I know I need to go again cause it’s gonna get good 😌

It’s timeeeeee!!! A whole book about Kai 😮‍💨 dreams do come true.

But also, the plot twist and turns 👀 the brother? Ain’t no goddamn way. Truly gagged 🤭

Some may say the happy ending in this book was Rika and Michael’s relationship… I would beg to differ. For me it was definitely Kai, totally Kai, especially Kai when he managed to overcome his intimacy issues (girlie leg kick 🤭).

God, I honestly can’t wait to read the bloody prologue so I can just read Kai’s book 😮‍💨

Well that was unexpected… but did I eat up every single second of it and delay bedtime to read another chapter? Yes I did.

Massive Kai stan so he better get his own book or I’ll riot.
