One chapter left and this is feeling very bittersweet

had a dream about this book like a year ago which was what made me buy it, but then procrastinated reading it and now I think it’s finally time to read it. also it was the shortest book on my shelf and I really don’t want to read a thick book right now lol

I started listening to the audiobook while simultaneously reading along and it is so much better. also the dude who does the audiobook sounds like the same guy who did the audiobooks for the harry potter series like even the voices for each character are similar. or maybe I only think so cuz they’re both british 😭

took me this long to finally understand how the centrifuge works

I think I’m having a hard time getting into this because I already know what’s gonna happen since I’ve seen the movie (multiple times but we don’t need to talk about that) and so like the suspense you normally feel with books is just gone. I mean it’s still interesting cuz the movie wasn’t an exact copy of the book, like some scenes are different. but I’m still having a hard time getting into it 💔

alrighty I finished The Meek One and I had a lot of thought that I wrote in a review of the meek one directly in Fable since they didn’t have this edition with the three short stories. I’ll prob write a review for each of these short stories all in one review at the end when I finish white nights.

Just now realized that this is three separate short stories and not three parts to one story. Welp, I’ve finished the first one! Idk if I should read the next one or jump to the third which is actually white nights

“What’s a bike?” I love that the people in medora are still humans but it’s like a whole different world than earth and that even though their technology is way more advanced, they’ve never seen, or at least call it something else, a bike. it’s so funny whenever alex makes an earth-human remark and everyone looks at her a little weird 😭

only a chapter in and Alex has made quite possibly the worst decision she could have made. what in the world possesses someone enough to literally attack the queen and king just to cause a ruckus so that your friends don’t find out a secret that’s really not that important to be keeping. like omg girl ur gonna be thrown in jail and your friends are gonna find out eventually bro smh idk if I can do this
