I slowed down a bit with this last chapter so I made an effort with a clear morning to try to finish it. Can’t tell if I’m happy I did or upset as I had to read the final random paragraph pertaining to another character’s adoration to our protagonist- but rather not just a fondness but instead an arousal toward her singing specifically- like i have to go to work now wth.

A chapter a day keeps the dread away!

Really enjoying that things picked up this chapter! I’m starting to get the hang of the switching perspectives, because sometimes it adds such a human element of understanding- great stuff so far!

I saw the annotated version of this book at B&N over the weekend, but Ann Patchett insisted I finish the book first before diving into that version. And media literacy is diminishing trait in our society so fine girl, I’ll endure re-reading for the full experience.

I’ve seen so much praise for this, it makes me feel so bad that it’s taken weeks (don’t trust the start date on this- I’ve lost track) to get past PAGE 8…it just feels like I’m reading a book that’s interrupting itself with thoughts or unexpected ways to segue into the next action by just dropping you into each next circumstance as if it’s already happened? But Klara did the same so I’ll be patient.

I realized that I haven’t logged anything since I’ve started this.

It was a bit of a slow start for me considering I put it down in October and just now came back to it- but I’m giving her a chance nonetheless!
