This book is very wordy for such little action

I am struggling y'all 😭. I feel like I'm wading through sludge and making no progress, but all of the reviews say it gets better and ends really well? My brain is yelling at me to DNF, but my curiosity wants me to keep going.

This is just a POV swap from book 1 (so far), but I'm not mad at it. Happy to spend some extra time with this cozy psychopath.

Within the span of a few pages my thoughts go from "aww, this is kind of sweet" to "those are some questionable bedroom theatric choices and she's totally cool with it?"
