Good so far

I did not rate this book as highly as others so maybe I missed something. Stevens is one of the remaining great butlers from before WW2. The time is mid 50’s and Stevens is taking a motoring vacation to meet Miss Kenton his former housekeeper. Along the way he reminisces about his employment at Darlington Hall and Miss Kenton, as well as his former employer who turned out to be a Nazi sympathizer.

The book was awful. I never stop reading books But I did this one. It was disjointed and unsatisfactory.

This memoir about Dr. Pelloski’s rise and fall and his childhood trauma which contributed to both is a stark, honest portrayal of the effects of sexual abuse and child pornography. This is a story of post traumatic stress disorder, the mental health system and the laws regarding child pornography.

Interesting history regarding Churchill and his cabinet and their trying to fight Germany and Italy by themselves before America joins the fight. I’ve read many historical novels about this era so it is interesting to read the behind the scenes actual history.

I just finished The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind: My Tale of Madness and Recovery and gave it 5 stars.

Finished the first book and am now reading Sons.
