7 STORY ARCHETYPES- Haven faces the turmoil of her parents' divorce and the strained relationship with her sister. Over the summer, she navigates these challenges while growing closer to Sumner, a figure who helps her question her assumptions about love and family. As Haven reflects on her past and her emotions, she begins a journey of self-discovery, ultimately finding a sense of clarity and personal growth.

CLIMAX- The climax of the story was when Tobias revealed his complex emotions. Tobias was shown as a stone-cold man, but when he met Tris, this shield unraveled. Tris made him more easy-going, and more in-the-moment. He also had a struggle with loyalty, both to his Dauntless faction, and his father, the leader of the Abnegation faction. The story follows the roller-coaster ride of his emotions, so buckle up!

CONFLICTS- The conflict in my story is character vs self. She doubts herself, and wants to be perfect, like her parents don't have enough to worry about. She never wants to be part of the problem. She is a model, and she hates the way the camera looks at her. She hated the way that it scrutinizes her every move, and the way she feels so judged. All she wants is to bring her family back together. Will her plan work?

ANTAGONIST: The antagonist in my book is a group of people called the Erudite. They see problems and solve them, no matter what it takes. For example, they tricked the Dauntless to fight the Abnegation. And now all that's left of Abnegation is a couple of people. Including Tris, Tobias, Susan, and Caleb. They must find a way to defeat the Erudite.

SETTING-Emaline lives in the small town of Colby. It is on the beach, and her family owns a rental place. In Colby, everyone knows each other, and nothing is a secret. So, when Emaline and Luke broke up, everyone asked her how she was doing which made her red as a tomato for the rest of the day. Then she went to the Big Lot with this dreamy New Yorker Theo, could he be the new "one"???

PROTAGONIST- The protagonist in my book is Leigh, and she is getting through the death of her mother. Leigh is struggling with the death of her mother, and doesn't know how to deal with it. She pushed away her best friend, and feels that her Dad doesn't get her anymore. So, she decided to shut herself down in her little world of sorrow.

VISUALIZE-After her father's death, everything has been a blur. Her sister has been trying to renovate his beach house, the way she always wanted it. When Macy first walked into the house, she was blasted with the stink of paint, and the fresh ocean air. The smell of paint filling her nostrils, and the ocean air sweeping her hair across her face, which was fine since she didn't want anyone to see her cry.

INCITING INCIDENT- Cammie and her best friend Bex walk by Cammie's mom/super-intendent's office, and overhears her and Mr. Solomon talking about the "Blackthorne". They are spies, so of course they want to find out who or what Blackthorne is. As their day goes on, Cammie must decide if she is going to stay loyal to her mom, or find out what "Balckthorne" is. And of course she decides to snoop.

ARCHETYPES-This book is a Quest. I know this because Syd, Zahra, and Kali become companions, and set out to destroy Rick/Rico/Eric. They faced many obstacles, like Banksy getting a heart disease, Zahra getting together with Brody, and Syd's dad getting engaged. Although everyone had problems, in the end, it turned out well, and they were able to succeed.

VISUALIZE-There is an apple tree in their backyard, and undeterred by what Tibby says, she is determined to taste one. Brashers describes that scene so well, I practically feel like Tibby laughing at how far Katherine is from reaching the lowest branch. The author describes how the wind was blowing, how the branches swayed, trying to be out of reach of Katherine. She says, "Hey! Why is the tree moving away from me?!"

MAKING CONNECTIONS-I made a connection that my book is a Text to Self book. In my book, there are four girls who share magical pants when they're apart during the summer. In my life, me and my friends have matching friendship bracelets to remind each other of our friendship when we are not together during our summer break. Even though me and my friends don't have a pair of magical pants, we have "magical" bracelets.

CHARACTERIZATION-Mila always feels so uncomfortable when boys talk to her. Whenever this "cute boy" named Callum talks to her, she always gets defensive, and she is always called a "baby and immature". Mila says "No thank you, I'm okay" at all times, to keep herself in her comfort zone. This reveals that she is still not as mature as her friends, but her body is maturing, and she's not ready.

ANTAGONIST- Annabelle, the main character is the antagonist of my book. She has manipulative and selfish behavior, and undermines other people's goals, creating obstacles in their paths. Driven by jealousy and insecurity, she seeks to control situations and people around her, often using her charm to disguise her true intentions.

ASK QUESTIONS- I am wondering why Claire is moving to Chicago. Maybe their dad found a new job, and a nice place to live, other than Massie's guest house. Why did her dad decide that they are going to move? And why are they so upset about moving? Wasn't she was so upset about having to settle in this new place? Doesn't she want another clean start? Maybe it's because Claire and Massie just became best buddies?

STATIC VS DYNAMIC - Massie is a static character. She is a true born alpha, and she has stayed an alpha this whole series. Right now, Massie is trying to earn the key to "the room". She is also facing jealousy because Claire starred in a TV show, leading to a gigantic boost in her popularity. She is not a (FOC) Follower of Claire, and instead stays true to herself. She is always the one to make decisions.

CONFLICT- The conflict of this story is character versus nature. I know this because Graham's mom is battling cardiac problems, and she needs a heart transplant. They travel hospital to hospital in search of a hospital that can do the transplant. And every time so far, it hasn't gone well. Graham is sick and tired of having to leave "home" every couple of months, and he hopes that they can stay in Sugarplum, Florida.

PREDICTIONS- I predict that right after Alicia leaves or gets kicked out of the NPC (New Pretty Committee), Massie will declare the "boyfast"over. This is because Massie has been having second thoughts ever since a former LBR, but now super hot boy Dempsey arrived at OCD. But as a true alpha, she has to stay true to her word. She also feels really bad about kicking Alicia out. She described it as a stab in the guts.

PROTAGONIST - Even though Laura is a short-sighted character, she is a loveable girl who has been troubled with a serious sense of responsibility for much of her life. Her plan to visit her parents after training her found dog as a “therapy dog” takes an unexpected turn, with the dog ultimately becoming a source for her own healing.

POINT OF VIEW-The point of view from my book, "Girl Giant and the Jade War", is in 3rd person omniscient. I know this because the main character is Thom, but she is not the one who is talking, so there are almost no "I"s in this book. I also know that it is not 3rd person narrator, because the narrator talks about everyone's thoughts, for example, Kha, and Concao's, not just Thom's.

Jimbo lent them Air Fur One and he has been a real hit. He is a Frisbee god!! Dill is also great at Frolf! Frolf is a combination of Frisbee and golf. It is the newest attraction to Wonderland!!
