GENRE: This book is an informational book. I know this because it's all focused on teaching you (and informing you) about how to get better at chess. It teaches all about all the imbalances in chess, like, knights vs bishops, rooks with open files, material, targets, statics vs dynamics. pawn structure, initiative, space, and weak squares

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS: A SUPPORTING character in my book is Strilka who offered Aleksey a job and is promising good food and money. Strilka seems like a good person; however, we don't know if he actually is since it's taking place at a time of war. I think it will be interesting to see how his character develops and how this will affect Tolya, the main character in a few years in the future.

STORY ARCHETYPES: I think the archetype of this book is voyage. One of the main characters gets offered a job from Strilka to get the main character to fight the Germans and protect their land. I can see this on page 89 it says "...I mean I'm offering you a job" I know this was about the war because it says on page 89 "'You'll take your oath to Hitler and the Third Reich. You'll take your orders from me.'"

SETTING: The setting of this book is in Ukraine, in a forest near the city of Lwów . I know this because on page 55 it says "There were beech trees all down the slope" showing that it is in a forest like area and that they are on a hill. I know it is near Lwów because on page 60 it says "...away from Lwów-away from him."This shows that it's near Lwów because Tolya want to get away from it.

Visualization: I know what Talya is seeing because on page 1 it says: "To be fair, he hadn't known at first that it was Zampolit Petrov-official representative of the Communist Party...." This shows that Talya couldn't see that he shot his commanding officer.

Characterization: I know that Michael is feeling guilty because on page 83 it says: "I frowned 'I know. I'm sorry, everyone. He seemed legit.'" This shows that he feels guilty about trusting a mysterious voice even though it wasn't his fault seeing as they had no other option. I also know he's feeling guilty because he is apologizing

POINT OF VIEW: This book is told from Michael's point of view. I know this because on page 47 it said "She held my hand the way there." The word "my" tells me that it is told from Michael's point of view because he is referring to himself whenever he says me, my, or I. This means that the author can make it so that we don't know what's really happening if Michael doesn't and makes this book more fun to read.

The plot starts when Taylor invited Michael to her house and they said that they both had powers, that both had to do with electricity. This lead Taylor to investigate why they had these powers, which lead to Elgen to find them. We can see this on page 76 when it says "'I asked my parents. I was born at Pasadena General Hospital. So I went online to find our birth records..." this shows that Taylor investigated.

My book is the voyage plot. The main character (Loki) goes from Asgard to Midguard (Earth) and he has to be a detective and try to figure out how and why people are dying from magic. Throughout the story Loki tries to find himself, if he's a hero, a villain, or if he is good enough to be king. When Loki comes back to Asgard he has a lot of experience and knows he should be the villain.

I made the connections of one of the side characters who were like one of the actors I know. I feel like that actor played a similar role before. I don't know the actors name (I'm not good with names). I also made the connection of being a kid that made a big mistake and I can relate to that.

Kia was happy in this part. At first he was wary and concerned about Ruby (how she was feeling was very complex) but now he was feeling happy. I think he was feeling happy because on page 116 it said, "His eyes crinkled at the corners" This tells me that he was either smiling or holding back a laugh.

There are 2 main antagonists in this book. The first one is the Minax. The Minax is a demon created by the god of the west winds. The Minax can possess you and make you a bloodthirsty monster, it manipulates you into thinking that you want it, it removes all your worries and emotion. The second one is the kings court. The kings court is against the main character because she's a Frostblood not a Fireblood.

ASK QUESTIONS: When I was reading this I was wondering how Thrawn would convince a Jedi master (I forgot how to spell his name) to join him, and help him in the way he wanted. I was also wondering what the gray aliens were and how they could (almost) overpower a Jedi Master (Luke Skywalker). There was also the question of if Leia would get the time off she needed to become a new Jedi.

STATIC VS DYNAMIC CHARACTERS: Currently Thrawn is a static character. He might change to dynamic; however, he has not faced any big problems this early in the book. On page 58 he faced a small problem of trying to convince a Jedi master to help him, but, he used his skills that he already had so he didn't evolve from that problem.
