Very straightforward story telling, he likes to write alot of short chapters like 4 to 12 pages each changing characters or topics which really keeps the writing fresh never getting stale. There is an almost fairytale aspect to his style or sitcom like, if I'm being honest it most reminds me of watching episodes of Seinfeld on tv. I'm definitely a fan of Fallada at this point and see myself pursuing all his books.

This one started out with so much promise but I'm finding it hard to care about a 40 year old Kerouacs drunken escapades or his friends or the "sharing" of lovers....gross.....I'm skeptical that any ending can save this one, this damn poem at the end better be good
