A Man Called Ove made me laugh and cry in the best way. At first, Ove seems grumpy and closed off, but as the story unfolds, you see how deeply he loves. He just doesn’t express it in loud or emotional ways.
He reminded me so much of Carl from Up. Both men seem hardened by grief, but underneath it all is a man who loved his wife completely and doesn’t quite know how to live without her.

So far I can't understand why people felt like it didn't get good until chapter 13. I've liked it from the beginning.
