currently about two-thirds of the way through. The Hobbit isn't exactly my cup of tea, but Tolkien is an amazing writer

I'm reading it for school and I absolutely hate it. Who thinks that middle schoolers want to read about how a girl's pregnant mother died because she accidentally threw oil at her?!
