I like the characters but way too many of the jokes don't land well for me. I appreciate the attempt at humor but it feels forced to me.

I love this book. I love this series. I read Camino Island in print, borrowed from my local library. I listened to Camino Winds, borrowed from Libby. Now, I'm listening to Camino Ghosts and thoroughly enjoying it. I love Whoopie Goldberg's excellent narration.To the people criticizing it, you sound very racist. It's very telling that you have such a negative reaction to a black woman narrating this particular story
