It all reminds me a little of Georgia Summers’ The bookshop below. But with a witchy twist instead of fate. Rainy March is the main character of this novel and she is somewhat intolerable.. I’ve caught myself wanting to shin kick her more than twice..

And now we have proof!

Interesting, Kal was a stubborn child. I wonder how often children aren’t given the necessary information to make sound decisions, because parents withheld information.

Okay, so it took a minute to get going, but I am immersed now and actually like the characters. Sanderson is repetitive in this books, just as he was in the Mistborn trilogy, but it’s overshadowed by the progression of the plot.

“What’s happening to me? What am I?” …
“I don’t know does it matter?” …
“shouldn’t it?”
I don’t know what I am either. A Bridgman? A surgeon? A soldier? A slave? Those are all just labels. Inside, I’m me. A very different me than I was a year ago, but I can’t worry about that. So I just keep moving and hope my feet take me where I need to go.”

The fact that so much has happened already! I absolutely adore this..

I am glad we get to “see” more of past characters and our aunty is working through some of her own shortcomings.. proving that even a grandmother can still make changes and grow into a new person.

I didn’t think I’d love this as much as I do, but this is hilarious. I love the characters.. it slightly reminds me of parks and rec, but with a twist.

I am screaming cackling and it’s 1.43 AM! Pure comedy! What makes it funnier is that I had to ask the cashier earlier to repeat herself twice and ended up doing the same thing and just smiled and nodded when I didn’t get it the third time. Welp!
